I have a newborn so I can't go to the movies now, but my husband did take our older children to the movies to see "Astro Boy" last weekend. It was a reward for good behavior. Usually he'll go to the bargain theater to see older movies for $2 a ticket.

We don't normally go to the movies a lot due to the cost of it... it's rather expensive. Instead, we subscribe to an at home movie rental plan so we always get to see ALL the movies we want to for a much lower price!

We love all cereals but my favorite is the cheerios with the yogurt.
only to movies i know will be worth it. also-early matinee movies are usually much cheaper!
We have a cheap drive in near us so over the summer, we could go and bring our own food. It saved us a lot of money and we got to go quite a few times. Now that it's too cold, we might only go once or twice. We will have to skip the concession stand when we go.

No we don't go to the movies, we had Netflix for a while and couldn't justify going to the movies at a theater when we would get DVD's every week. We dumped our Netflix several months ago trying to be more frugal. Thanks for the opportunity.

We got to matinee shows on weekends rather than evening shows at our regular cinema. We do evening shows at the Everett Theatre (where Dead Poet Society was filmed) in Middletown, DE (where I live) and see shows for $5 each rather than $12-15 each at the bigger theaters.

We do not go to the movies very often. We have only gone twice this year and we could afford it because we had been given 4 free movie tickets prior Christmas.
We will generally wait now unless it is a movie we ALL want to see.

My family are avid moviegoers. Especially late in the year, with all of the Academy Award hopefuls being released! This is the best part of the year for movies!
Instead of going to the movies, we joined netflix for less than $20 per month. However, we did buy some Reese's Puffs cereal and now we have a free ticket!
We go to the movies at least once a week. We love the movies and promotions like this General Mills one make it affordable. I'll be buying lots of Gsneral Mills cereals.

My kids and I have actually started going to the movies quite a bit lately but only if I can get a deal...I have went to the last 4 movies with Fandango codes I bought on ebay, it was a steal I tell you!! You too can go more often if you get your tickets for less, we went to the Imax 3D for around $6 a piece! I also win tickets online when I can, I really have saved a ton this year!

With 4 kids and the economy being the way it is, we rarely go to the movie theater. It would cost us an arm and a leg! We have to really, really want to see the movie to go to the theater. During the summer, we do take the kids to the drive-in to see current movies. We can get all six of us in for around $25 and bring our own snacks. The kids love it.

We actually only go to the movies for special ones, like Twilight or Harry Potter. Otherwise we just rent form Redbox.

We rarely go to movies in the theater anymore. It costs too much and the aggravation of other patrons talking and acting out during the movie are the things that most make me decide against it.

I used to go to the movies a lot, but since quitting my job this year after having a baby, we can't afford it anymore. Actually I was shocked to find out how much movie tickets are now!
Cereal is one of my favorite foods (honestly), so it's hard to pic a favorite. If I had to choose, I'd say either Cracklin Oat Bran, original Life, or Count Chocula. I love about 20 different cereals though.

We do, but rarely. Usually it takes a combination of Drew Barrymore, Ellen Paige and Rollerderby to get me to buy a ticket.
We go to the movies, but usually wait for the budget. It's always quite in there and only $2. Can't beat that for a cheap date, just don't eat the popcorn. :)

We're a Cheerios family. Love movies, but finding being at the
theater definitely means popcorn
and coke - and that's more expensive than the movie.
We do the classic "go see it or rent it" question whenever a new movie comes out.
We try to go to 3 or 4 movies a year. We usually wait to go to a movie that all of us want to see.

I don't go to the movies and haven't for years- just can't sit still that long and have to be doing something so we do ppv or buy dvds. The kids go when something looks amazing- and anything Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Pixar.

WE do still go. I figure that even if we don't have as much money as we would like, that we still have to have fun. Going to the movies is something we all love, so I still make it possible. I just cut corners and save more when I know there is a movie coming out that we will want to see.

We rent movies from the library (free), Redbox ($1.00) or Blockbuster ($.99 or $1.99) and sometimes go to the "second hand" theater which costs $2.00 per person.
We have not been to a movie since 2008.There are five of us and it's just so expensive.
