General Mills wants you to go to the movies! (Plus Giveaway) ***CLOSED***


Starting in November, you can receive a free movie ticket when you purchase two specially marked packages of General Mills´ Cereals. After purchasing two cereals, visit generalmills.com/moviecash to enter the code found inside each box of cereal and print your free movie certificate good for admission to any movie.

Participating brands include select sizes of: Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Trix and Reese´s Peanut Butter Puffs.

As a huge fan of movies who attempts to go as often as possible, getting one free admission when I already buy the cereal anyway is a great money saver!

We do not go to the movies more than 1 or more times a year. We'd like to go more, but it is just too much $ to justify. We are planning on taking the kids to see the new Alvin and the Chipmunks on Christmas though. We love Alvin!

I have a newborn so I can't go to the movies now, but my husband did take our older children to the movies to see "Astro Boy" last weekend. It was a reward for good behavior. Usually he'll go to the bargain theater to see older movies for $2 a ticket.

We don't normally go to the movies a lot due to the cost of it... it's rather expensive. Instead, we subscribe to an at home movie rental plan so we always get to see ALL the movies we want to for a much lower price!

We have a cheap drive in near us so over the summer, we could go and bring our own food. It saved us a lot of money and we got to go quite a few times. Now that it's too cold, we might only go once or twice. We will have to skip the concession stand when we go.

We got to matinee shows on weekends rather than evening shows at our regular cinema. We do evening shows at the Everett Theatre (where Dead Poet Society was filmed) in Middletown, DE (where I live) and see shows for $5 each rather than $12-15 each at the bigger theaters.

My kids and I have actually started going to the movies quite a bit lately but only if I can get a deal...I have went to the last 4 movies with Fandango codes I bought on ebay, it was a steal I tell you!! You too can go more often if you get your tickets for less, we went to the Imax 3D for around $6 a piece! I also win tickets online when I can, I really have saved a ton this year!

With 4 kids and the economy being the way it is, we rarely go to the movie theater. It would cost us an arm and a leg! We have to really, really want to see the movie to go to the theater. During the summer, we do take the kids to the drive-in to see current movies. We can get all six of us in for around $25 and bring our own snacks. The kids love it.

We rent movies from the library (free), Redbox ($1.00) or Blockbuster ($.99 or $1.99) and sometimes go to the "second hand" theater which costs $2.00 per person.

We have not been to a movie since 2008.There are five of us and it's just so expensive.
